ReFur
Pelts are cut into tiny pieces, then sewn into long thin rows, creating a v pattern. This is called "letting out". Creates a more flowing garment. It is the common way you see mink done. http://www.qualityfurs.com/modules.php?name=Production http://www.mexaimoda.com/en/read/index.php?BID=84&ID=4002 http://www.canadianfurcompany.com/content/minkgarments/

Lil Dragonfly
You can only clean a fur 6 times?! http://www.mexaimoda.com/en/read/index.php?BID=82&ID=3922
ReFur
I am not sure which type of fur he was thinking of. I have never heard that. I know some methods make the fur feel "coated" Especially sheared type furs. Many do not know how to clean them properly and they require special equipment. I wonder if something was lost on the translation??
JGalanos
I wonder if something was lost on the translation?? That's what I'm thinking. My silver fox coat has been cleaned and glazed annually (10 times to date) and still looked and felt mahvelous when I wore it to dinner earlier this evening.
