Spring Has Sprung

The snow that has been on the ground since the second week of November is gone.

It's a beautiful day -- ~57 F with clear skies.

Spring appears to have arrived ~1 week early.

Given we've had snow storms the third week of April, the furs will not be going into storage for awhile.

But mefears their days are numbered.

Agreed! They may well be numbered here too! Supposed to be plus 14 here soon. Not sure what that converts to. Not far from the temp you mentioned anyhow. I notice the possible temps dropping 7 days out but not sure if it will drop far enough to wear fur again. Kid of doubt it but can always hope. I've often worn fur at Easter. But. I've often worn shorts too!

Yes, but beware the Ides of March! Ay, they have come, but they are not gone.

In these parts, we don't even THINK about spring until St. Patrick's day is over. There is usually one more good snowstorm right about this time. We wait for the shoe to drop. By the end of March we often see spring starting to bloom but I have actually seen it snow in June.

There's no telling what can happen with the weather in Pennsyltucky!

After ~10 years in the Great White North my "extremes" are snow flurries the second weeks of October and May. I learned after my first year here to not plant flowers until after Memorial Day!

P.S. Was cool enough to be out and about in my faux fur bomber last night.

The winter weather gods have smiled upon me. The final symphony of the season is Saturday night and there is SNOW forecasted for Saturday. Temps dropping to lower/mid 20's F Saturday night. One more opportunity to choose a full length fur for a formal occasion here at the end of the season. Yippee. I've already worn ranch mink, mahogany mink, coyote, light fisher, and silver fox this season, so maybe dark fisher? Decisions, decisons.

Tonight and tomorrow night are the last cold nights forecasted over the next ten days.

Heading out shortly in a full length coat ... Not sure how many more nights I'll be able to do so.

Storage time is almost here. Ugh.

We always have at least cool nights even in the heat of summer. "Heat of summer" is a bit of an exaggeration even.

Spring has sprung. The blossoming trees have been blooming for two weeks at least.

Spring hath sprung here, too. I heard the spring peepers the other night in the heath across the road. But, two-three more days of cold weather are forecast, cold enough to wear my fur to work a few more times.

It's been in the 40's and 50's in this part of Pennsyltucky for the last week but just this evening it snowed. There is still a bit left on the ground but it will probably be gone by morning.

Tonight I wore my avatar coat, and as I entered a restaurant a fellow coming out stopped me to tell me how fantastic it looked. Asked the kind of fur that it is. If I had it designed or bought it off the rack, etc. I am not at home right now, and where I am it is supposed to hit minus 14 tonight. And only about 3 or something tomorrow. And something like minus 8 at night. Guess what I will be wearing the next couple of days. A dream come true. A surprise ending for a fur year indeed! When I came into my hotel tonight the lobby was filled with teens. Three of them commented on how great that the coat looked!

Finally made that long overdue trip to the Yukon Territory?

Enjoy!
