furslave
How many of you, that compile pictures of fur have made categories? This question is simply because i have realize lately that i tend to keep mine in certain category. For example, i like white and blue fox and i also like hoods. So i made different categories for when i store them on my computer. My categories are: white, blue, coloured fur, large and heavy coats, hoods, naked women under fur, dominant women wearing fur, etc.... So what categories do you have if you have any? MrMockle
Furslave, An interesting point of dicsussion for anyone who has ever tried to find a photo they are sure they downloaded weeks/months/years ago. I don't tend to sort my downloaded fur images not by type of fur but by wearer or set they come from. I have a range of famous/celebrity fur folders organised by type of person (actress, musician, model and so on) and and starting to create other top level folders for amatuer/homemade/candid pics and one for commercial/catwalk images. Within those I'll have folders for sets - either by a specific "model" or wearer or from a specific organisation or company. That being said, apart from the famous/celebrity folders the rest of them are largely unsorted so far so it'll be a good while until I have everything categorised. But however you sort and arrange them - and gallery owners and hosts take note! - it should make finding those special images much easier for you and any others who search them and help minimise the number of duplicate images you store, so you can keep only the best quality/biggest version of each photo. Regards, Mr Mockle
Kappa
Like MrMockle, I have it categorized by the wearer of the fur. Beyond that, I then group things by sets, if there are multiple images in a set. If I can manage to learn the real name of the model, I put that on the folder name. I also found some freeware online a couple years ago that compares the content of the images/ pictures. This is something I use to check for any duplicate images.
Lil Dragonfly
I sort my fur picture collection by type- mink, fox, chinchilla, and so on. Except for the folder marked "favorites", which is also divided by type.
grouchomg
I don't categorize. I just like to look and admire.
JGalanos
I don't categorize. I just like to look and admire. I fall into this camp as well. I keep meaning to organize them by fur type, but have not got around to it yet.
White Fox
I used to have a whole lot of pictures saved, etc. However, when the Gallery here got going almost instantly most all of those that I had were on already. Also, I had a "Crash" back then that took most of those that I had. I've just always found it easier to look here etc, so I gradually kind of got out of that habit except for a few unusual cases. Unfortunately with the time I need to spend here I don't get a lot of time to do picture collecting though. W
Worker 11811
I have two categories for fur: 1) Fur that I own. 2) Fur that I WANT to own. Unfortunately, the second category is a lot bigger than the first.
JGalanos
1) Fur that I own. Does this include Bears?
Worker 11811
Yes, that does! A couple of them are in my avatar pictures. The fluffy, white one is made from alpaca. The curly, beige one with the plaid bow tie is sheepskin. All the rest are made from mohair. Although mohair is man made, it does come from the shorn hair of the Angora goat so it is the next best thing to fur. I think there are about a dozen or so real fur Bears living in this den. When it comes to Bears I also have two categories.
