Still chilly here as well. I wore my mink coat Wednesday night and my faux fur parka Thursday morning.

Glad I waited to store the coat.

I keep a few well cared for furs around for summer just for fun. It gets cold Downeast some summer nights, and a fur is the perfect wrap to sit outside on the swing and watch the rising of the Moon.

Nice.

I don't think I'll see snow flurries for at least another 5.5 months.

I don't know 'bout Orlando, Linda, but 2 1/2 to 3 hours south of you there ain't no snow to be seen now... or anytime within the next 10 months (at least).

It is ridiculously windy and cold out today.

Heading out shortly for what will likely be my final stroll of the season in ankle length fisher.

Snow showers forecasted for Saturday. If it happens, it will be my first May snow. We've had snow showers as early as mid October ... But the latest snow shower I can recall (and it was more like a blizzard) was mid April.

Soo glad I have not stored all my furs yet. Looks like the ranch mink and fisher coats may each have one more outing. Some times good things really do come to those who wait.

last May... exactly on th first of May we had a major snow

more than what we saw on the same winter.

This May seems warm enough.... just cloudy and windy today

I've never worn fur and faux fur this late in the spring. Tis unusually cold and chilly out. I wore my ranch mink coat last night (buttoned with the belt tied and hands in pockets!) and I spent today in my faux fur parka (it's cold, gray, and raining out with the rain forecasted to turn to snow overnight -- It was snowing ~1.5 hours northwest of me at 6:00 p.m.).

Crappy weather ... But fur sportin' opportunities. Who woulda guessed this late in May I would be comfortably wearing full length fur???

Yikes - It's May 7th and it's snowing ... Not snow flurries but real snowfall. It's already begun accumulating on parked cars. I went for a stroll in my faux fur parka an hour or so ago and wished I'd worn a real fur coat instead. Brrr!

Since moving here to the Great White North I've now seen snow as early as the second weekend in October and as late as the second weekend in May. That's a seven month span!

FL, somehow I missed your post. Yep, no snow in Orlando!!

JG,

The latest I remember snow in upper Michigan was Father's Day. Was on a canoe trip and camped out. Man was it cold!

Have to admit, don't miss this part of the Midwest!

Went camping on Canadian Thanksgiving once. It SNOWED! So I said I was going again next year just to prove that it could be better winter. The last year it had snowed big flakes in the air. That next year we had about three inches of snow on the ground everywhere. We were tramping through snow to get to tents, etc. For three days!

I sure could have used fur that weekend! Like you said Linda. Then is when you know it is C-O-L-D !

Wow. That's what I call late in the season!

I had been told it has snowed here in May before, but it had never happened in the ~10 years I've been here. This weekend made a believer outta me!

In some of the outlying areas of the county, here in Pennsyltucky, we had some snow. It came down early this morning but it didn't accumulate. All traces of snow were gone by 12:00 noon.

Temperatures have been 10ºF to 20ºF below normal in this area for about the last three days.

Frost is forecasted tonight. Brrr. Went for a stroll tonight and wore my faux raccoon coat. Like the faux sable coat referenced in another thread, I had not worn this coat in years ... And now I'm wondering why (?). It was custom made for me by the same company that made the faux sable coat .. Similar in design but way more colorful. It is also coming out of retirement next fall. ~14 years old and still looks and feels good as new.

Sitting here wrapped in a robe under my ranch mink faux fur throw -- Brrr, it's still cold here.

It's been Hyundai-Kia Fashion Week as I've paraded around in multiple faux fur garments. Yesterday I started the day wearing my faux coyote jacket to Panera for breakfast (love Panera Bread!) and ended the day wearing my faux ranch mink coat to B & N (where I spent an overlooked Christmas gift card) and on to the park for a stroll in the brisk wind. It's mid May (feels and looks more like early November) and no one here in the Great White North batted an eye as I wandered the bookstore in my incredibly lightweight, almost ankle length "mink" coat.
