Guest
I was visiting San Francisco in July. I took a walking tour of the Haight, of the famed Haight-Ashbury district, with my stepmother. The walking tour was in the evening. As many know SF usually is cool in the summer because of the fog. Indeed, Samuel Clemens once said: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". At any rate, the San Francisco weather did not disappoint. It was cool. The wind was blowing, and all I could think about was "damn I wish I had a fur coat on". Something about mid-thigh length would have been ideal. I had on a fleece pull-over and the wind just went right through it! If any of you DO decide to do this, you have to remember, because of the hills in San Francisco, there are regional areas that are relatively clear and do warm up. You have to stay on the "Pacific side" of the hills where the fog and wind are to be able to wear your fur in the summer. Just a thought...
