what i really have to ask is what is it with fur?? what i mean is I love my fur coat. Its just something about it I just love, the warmth, uber soooftness of it. i wore my fur last night out with my gf and my fur just kept me sooooooooo warm and cozy... I love it. I love the way my fur hugs me when its zipped up.. is it just something special about fur that makes us feel this way??? I wouldnt trade my fur for the world.

The question you raise is so very true. In fact, I am going to go back into our old site and copy some incredible posts we had there that addressed this very issue. Here is one from 2005 a few months after I found Melody, our former site:

 

I have a fur shop in Michigan. I had two ladies in yesterday trying on furs. They were having a lot of fun, and had had a few drinks as well. (Common in our resort shop! You guys would just love it!!)

 

The one turned to me and said, "What is it about furs?! They just make you feel so...." She could not explain what she was feeling.

 

I just smiled and said I knew exactly what she meant and agreed with her. I thought of all the stories I had read on Melody. I told her a lot of people feel that way!

 

There is just something about fur!

I notice a lot of similarities with myself, but I also see that there are quiet a lot of differences in the way that people experience there furfetish. You will find many people here all the way from those who love furs because of a fetish that they have, all they way through to those who just love furs because of the way they look and feel. In fact I for one am totally convinced that there is no fine line between these two. One love just pulls gradually into the other. I certainly do believe that "hormones" play a role in it, just like I believe that a fetish is probably slightly different for each and every person who has it.
