MrMockle
All, The great writer and director Blake Edwards passed away on December 15th 2010. His films were a huge influence on me in the development of my fetishes - primarily but not exclusively my love of fur - and I know that similar scenes have inspired others too. I've not seen all of his films but a number are noteworthy for their fur scenes: - The Great Race (1965), starring Natalie Wood in a selection of fox and chinchilla trimmed outfits - and a huge pie fight which has delighted many slapstick fans. - The Pink Panther (1963), featuring a few background furs in the skiing and party scenes, plus possibly more that I forget. - The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), featuring Lesley Anne Down in a gorgeous coyote coat and hat in some memorable seduction scenes. - Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978), featuring Sue Lloyd as the cross-dressing car robber in a rabbit jacket (an influence on several transvestites I know) and Dyan Cannon in a long white fox coat. - The Man Who Loved Women (1983), featuring Kim Basinger in a white mink coat and a brown mink jacket, Sela Ward in a grey mink coat and some more background furs. What are your favourite memories of Mr Edwards's work? Thanks for helping me down the road, Blake! Regards, Mr Mockle
FurLoverinFL
It's a shame he's gone - I always enjoyed Blake Edwards' movies. IMO, the scene in The Pink Panther Strikes Again was one of the all time best fur scenes in motion pictures. Kato... what an actor! For those who've furgotten, or just haven't seen it in a while... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p8NrwWmJ4A FLinFL
grouchomg
I've not seen The Pink Panther Strikes Again in ages. Wow! I'd forgotten about the fur scene in the film. Time to rent it from Netflix.
Guest
I remember a move called S.O. B. where his wife Julie Andrews is wearing a two tone blue fox. Only the beginning of the movie.
Worker 11811
I remember that scene with Peter Sellers well! When we were teenagers, we used to use the "necktie on the head" gag all the time just because of what sellers did in the movie.
FrBrGr
IMO, the scene in The Pink Panther Strikes Again was one of the all time best fur scenes in motion pictures. In the first place, I have been in love with the incomparably beautiful and talented Leslie Anne Down ever since I can remember ("The Duchess" knows, and alerts me anytime she sees that Ms Down is or will be on TV). I'll never forget the furst time I saw that scene with her, Peter Sellers and that fur coat. It - blew - me - the - f*** - away - Uhhh . . . It wasn't the last time I watched that scene . . . Guest
Have some fur DVD's but no TV any more to play them on. Got rid of the old CRT TV when I moved to an apartment. Just too much bulk. Will be getting a new LCTV sometime soon however I'll be getting more fur DVD's to play. Alice is still one of my favourites along with The Secret World of Henry Orient. both are excellent films in their own right and with wonderful fur scenes. ew19975
OFF, I can well understand getting rid of the old CRT Mine has got to go due to issues beyond being bulky (sound comes and goes randomly), but have to have the replacement on hand first . Of course, it's old enough that I have to use the VCR (that we don't have many tapes for) as a switch box for the game consoles/cable box while the DVD has the only extra input that's directly on the TV (S-video). ... hmmm, on that thought, maybe I better go look on the back of the cable unit and see if there is anything useful there... FurLoverinFL
I don't think it's too late to ask Santa for a new TV! Of course, a new fur should always come first!! FLinFL

FLinFL That's true, but we're just waiting for the holiday gifts to be delivered (a few members of the family give money gifts- and praying that my employer gives us a reasonable bonus of some sort for the quarter [don't get me started on what has been done randomly over the past few years]). ...and just waiting to see what the next sales or markdowns might be after the holidays...
