Football and Fur

On the Fox NFC Championship game telecast, sideline reporter Pam Oliver is wearing a coat trimmed with what appears to be a lovely black fox collar. Some furs visible in Chicago's Soldiers Field too.

Shows to go ya what I know - I thought it was rabbit - ! IMHO, the best sideline reporter of all time when it came to fur was Lisa Guerrero when she worked for ABC-TV. I could never understand why ABC canned her. She was not only a drop-dead gorgeous woman who wore fur and wore it well, but she was also a good reporter . . .

It wasn't that long ago that a sideline reporter, or female news reporter for that matter, would wear a full length fur coat.. how things have changed.

Lisa "G" was GREAT! I recall that game. It was Monday night football game. She was able to interview a player or two. The coat was gorgeous! A whiskey mink I think. I also recall another play in which the camera panned and caught her in the background (well I caught her in the background, the camera was following a play). I believe the coat went to about her ankles.

On another football and fur note, two weeks ago when Hines Ward was interviewed after teh Steelers win, I am pretty darn sure he was wearing a coat with a chinchilla collar. The collar was completely black, but there was no mistaking the chinchilla!

I remember not that long ago that the male reporters would be wearing full length fur coats on the side lines. That was hot!!!

Bfur, I want to welcome you to The Fur Den! I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say I hope you will return often and share your thoughts and experiences with us! It's a little slow around here right now, as it often gets during the summer months (at least in the Northern Hemisphere), otherwise I'm sure you would have gotten a welcome long before now. We're happy to have you!
