Now then. I wounder if anyone who frequents this site would like to go to a store like that!

Make sure you have a look at the search options off of the page too.

Wow!

Mailon's showroom is shown around 0:48!

The video is mostly centred on PKZ Furs in Kastoria: http://www.pkzfurs.com/

When I saw the furrier putting a fur coat under his feet and taking several steps over it (around 4:18), I cried out "NOOO! Don't do this!" but then I suppose this is their way of showing the resilience and the quality of the fur:)

Kastoria in Greece is well known for its furriers:) At the beginning of the video, they showed a piece of fur that was crafted in 1857.

Cool find!

Never seen this video before. The shooting was at least 2-3 years old, our store doesn't look like this anymore. It is in EDIKA, a mall especially for Fur Stores, and Fur only.

More than 100 furriers, including us, are exhibiting their fur products in there.

The site is http://www.edika.gr/

My father used to be the president (the president now is the guy that talk at 5:37).

Its a shareholders company, where to own shares you got to be a furrier. We own just a few too

I never saw anyone stepping on a mink coat before also, to prove how good it is. I'm sure he made his point but it was such a poor way to do it, its demeaning for the product and class of fur in my opinion.

That has to be the fur center of the Universe

Certainly worth a destination vacation what with all the local interest as well as this monster fur mall

Kostas, have watched the video from the website...the town looks lovely, especially in Winter.

Not sure the piles of dirt outside the building in the adjacent block add to the images!! Typical Greece from what I remember. Also, I love the parking.....or double parking. Guess space is at a premium.!

It would certainly be a spot on my Radar to visit....never made it to Kastoria on my journey's many years ago, more's the pity.

By the way, the scarf is coming in very handy in a rapidly chilly Australia, snow on our mountains a whole month ahead of ski season opening......

Auzmink.

Kastoria is really a lovely town, and very touristic too. The images you saw at the video are really poor in my opinion, the town has so many beauties, the guys that shot the video did not know anything about Kastoria, I think they just took some random shots from where they were standing.

Kastoria is like an island, all around it has the lake surrounding it, with a small part of land to joint it with the rest of Greece.

I found some nice photos here:

Auzmink, I'm glad you are still enjoying your scarf

niceeee, and its (part) true!

Actually "Kastoras" is beaver in Greek.

Noone can really tell where Kastoria got its name from, as the town is really old.

There are three alternatives:

1st) From beaver (Kastoras) that used to live around the lake

2nd) From Castor from the Dioscuri brothers(Castor and Pollux) Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castor_and_Pollux

3rd and less likely is from the ancient wall and Castles that surrounded the town for its safety (Castle = Kastro in Greek)

Hey, love the white mink and lynx coat. Maybe you could send one of those to me and send the young gal along with it?
