sableman
I wanted to let everyone on this site know, as I said recently, that I have now posted a new story on my Yahoo site. It is not maybe my best effort but at least it is a new story. It is called "Another Christmas Story". Now I know there is already a story with the same name but if you will go to the one that is posted today, June 6, that will be it. I am working on 2 more and I hope to post them soon. I am not posting this for personal gain or recognition, just hoping that some will go there and enjoy the story. That is the main reason that I write them. So I hope all of you will enjoy it. AKcoyote
I can't take it anymore! What's a "wiki"? From the PmWiki website: WikiWikiWeb WikiWikiWeb is an "open-editing" system where the emphasis is on the authoring and collaboration of documents rather than the simple browsing or viewing of them. The name "wiki" is based on the Hawaiian term "wiki wiki", meaning "quick" or "super-fast". The basic concept of a WikiWikiWeb (or "wiki") is that (almost) anyone can edit any page. While at first this sounds like a recipe for complete anarchy, the truth is that sites using this system have developed surprisingly complex and rich communities for online collaboration and communication. Yes, it's possible for someone to go and destroy everything on a page, but it doesn't seem to happen often. And, many systems (including this one) have built-in mechanisms to restore content that has been defaced or destroyed. The point of the system is to simply make it as quick, easy and rewarding as possible to create or edit online content.
White Fox
With only a small bit of knowledge you can build a web site. And, if you allow it, others with only the same tiny bit of knowledge can edit it. For instance. You can change a section in Wikipedia that someone else enters wrongly. Or anyone who is a member here can add information to our wiki area very, very easily as AK mentioned. You can just type what you want on to a page, and if you don't want to put in the appropriate codes we can go in and add those later after you are finished. And presto, we have a new web page.
