icepilot
I just spent a WONDERFUL morning shopping all the furriers in downtown Anchorage. What a pleasure to see a place where fur is so openly embracfed!. I picked up a few nice accessories but the main point of my visit was to investigate who could do a custom garment for me. I would like to have a fur skirt made but meet so many people it is bewildering. David Green was very high end and expensive and several others on down. Can any one with experience in Anchorage to recommend a furrier to me? Which ones have you delt with? Who does good custom work at a fair price? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Guest
The other side of the country but Ungar Furs in Portland, Oregon is very good at that sort of thing. Horst will treat you very well ad a reasonable price. OFF
minkme
The last time we visisted Anchorage, I think there were two or three furriers with some taking tours of their shop/factory. This was about 20 years ago. We never made it to any of the furriers, my wife did not let me check them out.
