White Fox Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Most all of those old standby's rate pretty high on my books and mostly well above our modern ones. WCFields of course in addition to others above. The Three Stooges. On the modern side, Gallagher rates fairly high along with Lorne Alliot of our CBC. It's pretty hard though for a modern comedian to touch these old folk who started in Vaudaville. W

allfurme Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 DON'T READ IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED I said I found Emo Phillis Funny; some of his one-liners: I got some new underwear the other day. Well, new to me. I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well." I love to go down to the schoolyard and watch all the little children jump up and down and run around yelling and screaming. They don't know I'm only using blanks. My girlfriend said to me in bed last night' 'you're a pervert' I said, 'that's a big word for a girl of nine'. My mother was like a sister to me, only we didn't have sex quite so often. When I wake up in the morning, I just can't get started until I've had that first, piping hot pot of coffee. Oh, I've tried other enemas. I went into Gus's artificial organ and taco stand. I said "Give me a bladder por favor." The guy said "Is that to go?" I said, "Well what else would I want it for?" You know, a lot of girls go out with me just to further their careers...damn anthropologists. I went to school, you know. I was in grammar school. Once we were taking a test. I was copying this other kid's paper, and I guess the teacher heard my Xerox machine.
