Smother
http://www.cbc.ca/news/arts/story/2011/11/04/wdr-macisaac-peta.html You know, when you think about it, their acronym stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. To me that means that as long as an animal is treated ethically before and during its harvest then PETA would have no issue with the use of the animal for food or fashion. I guess if we met a fur-friendly PETA member then we would be meeting a rational human being. Although they are okay with giving fur coats to homeless people ... auzmink
Serious.....can PETA really claim a moral high ground when they send 2 provocatively dressed females in high boots (were they plastic) and low riding Police uniforms (impersonating an officer of the law) in the desire to offer us a moral perspective on life!!! Sex sells.....is that where they now stand - cheapening women to raise an issue.....Would Mrs N have gone out there and done it in the name of her organisation....I think not. Desperate tactics......poor form. Auzmink.
Worker 11811
Normally, I don't care to argue with P∂TA types. The more you argue with them, the more publicity they get and the more their cause is promoted and justified. However, it is also true, the more outrageous and desperate their behavior seems, the more people will see them as publicity whores and kooks. Even though it is against my instincts to encourage people to argue with P∂TA types, in this case, I think it was a good thing because goading them into action in this way only made their behavior appear to be more outrageous and desperate. Then we can all point at them with outstretched arms, throw our heads back and let out a collective burst of derisive laughter. Finally, when nobody takes them seriously anymore, P∂TA will wither on the vine and die.
furup
A number of years ago it was "People Eating Tasty Animals". There was even a web site but the real peta people took the URL back. The owner is fighting the loss. The page is still around at http://mtd.com/tasty/. Enjoy.

dumbass45601
Ok so PETA is now attacking everybody's loveable video game character Mario! If you remember the old game Super Mario Bros. 3 there was a suit you could wear called the Tanuki suit and you could get special powers. Well for their new installment they are bringing that back and PETA is up in arms about the situation. http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/peta-slams-mario-over-fur-suit-211025773.html The boys at screwattack.com have done a review on PETA's flash game response to the new Mario game and it's quite funny with many fur related jokes. http://www.screwattack.com/reviews/video-review-super-tanooki-skin-2d
