ReFur
I was on the train today and saw a woman in a so-so coat with a fur collar and cuffs. Or, at least that is what I thought it was until I got closer as we both got off. (I took a picture with my phone but it is not very good.) It actually was a fur with the lining removed worn fur inside. The fur was a stroller lenght muskrat or something similar and had been let out. The edges were all "raw" and the cuffs must have been added by cutting length off the bottom. There were no markings or dye marks on the hide though, which I find unusual. Has anyone seen this? auzmink
I am buying mink jackets and turning them inside out as mink lined vests, but not with the leather showing. I know some coats are now leather out and stitched so the edges have some fur protruding through.... Auzmink
minkme
Must be a new style? The natural look.

Not sure I like hers. Looked a little "ratty" to me, but I liked the idea. I have a mink this might work with. But, I would have to dye the hide due to furrier's marks. Plus, most minks which are let out have the hides colored at the top back to cover up the appearance of the hide at eye level, and where the fur is flat. Guest
I don't wear it outside but I have a Crystal Fox vest I took the lining out of and wear it around the house reversed. Also all my fur lined jackets are .. well .. reversed furs lining a jacket OFF
ReFur
I found a current version of this look on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/170759624571?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
White Fox
Interesting indeed! Probably the lining was ripped in one someone had so they just ripped the lining out and worn it. And started a new trend! ha ha Not sure if the designers would like the look of it though.
minkme
It look like it was designed that way. See the photo with the name tag on the back side of the coat.
auzmink
I like that......very carefully constructed. Still let out with larger stitches to emphasis the pelts coming together....... Would consider an option if was larger... Auzmink
