New Illionis law on taking roadkill animals for their fur

According to this CNN video, Illinois passed a law making it legal for those with furbearer certificate to take roadkill animals for their fur. I agree with one of the commenters in the video that it is stupid to have such a law, but still, it is good to see those animals being put to good use:)

I'd imagine though that after the animal has become "road kill" that the pelt would be less than desirable.

Well, if you get them when they're fresh...

 

Seriously, why would you need a permit for such a thing? You're doing the government a favor. They don't have to pay somebody else to dispose of the things. You're also doing the rest of us a favor. You're removing an ugly mess that smells and spreads disease.

 

People should be able to do that for free.
