I heard a similar story from a few ladies that dropped their coats off at the thrift shops.

Kind of sad I think, the days are number when ladies used to dress up to go out for dinner. They used to dress up in style. I remember when I was dating my girlfriend, we used to go out with her parents, who later became my in laws. My mother in law would dress up and wear her mink coat, when going out for dinner. It's rare to see that anymore. Especailly in San Francisco.
