In some parts of Pennsyltuky, that's normal.

I have actually known people who have driven a car with pliers.

 

When I went to Vo-Tech School, the kids in the auto shop would drive cars around like that all the time.

 

Then, again, the auto shop teacher was busted and put in jail for fencing stolen cars. His buddies would steal cars and bring them to the school so the students could strip them down.
