AKcoyote
In the very near future, we may be placing click-able banner ads on the main index page of these forums. The banners will ONLY appear on the main index page and only one banner will appear at any time, but they will scroll every few seconds. While we have resisted placing banners on the site until now, it has become necessary to make this change to try to keep this site financially viable. If you have any comments pro OR con about this change, please reply to this topic and let us know.
AKcoyote
OK, as no one has posted any comments in this topic, I am turning on the banner-scroll mod. We may be tweaking a few styles over the next few months to improve how the banner block displays. Your comments are still welcome.
AKcoyote
Due to a temporary problem at my end, I have had to disable the display of banners. I should hopefully be able to resolve this issue in 4 days of less.
AKcoyote
We now have our first banners displaying on the index page of these forums. Any one who clicks on the LoveofFur.com banner and signs up at that site will also be helping this website financially as we are now an affiliate of Mr Mockle's site. Any member with a fur related business who wishes to have a banner displayed on this site can send a PM to White Fox for more info and rates. Banners should be a standard 468 x 60 pixels and not display an image that could be seen as pornographic. While White Fox and I have not yet formalized a set of rates and standards, if you have trouble contacting him you can contact me to get the process started. corrected banner size specification
furup
Hi, i have seen the adv banners. I welcome them. I wish i had more money to buy furs, but i have enough to keep living indoors and living, and not much above that. But every day i have I treasure. Because if it was not for medical tech I would be gone. Just being able to write a message here is beyond imagination. I am glad to be able to leave messages here. May this board survive.!!!! White Fox
And May you forever survive with us... Furup you actually more in common with some of us than You might imagine. At one point this year I found out that just a week or so before the operation that I just had that I had at that point only had approximately two weeks to live, and might well have taken a fit any day and in their words "Never come out of it!" But I did, and I am now here with you and a lot of others here like us. Many members here too did not have difficulties like those but they did have other difficulties that were to them almost as trying. Difficulties at home or with children, etc. And that is why I have always thought that the Den is still needed. It is so much more than pictures or individual posts on the forums! I am so glad that we can still provide this board for you and others as your Home away from "Home"! I do hope that some others here will think about helping us out here with donations, as two of our staff members have given a lot of their personal money on top of their donation to the Den as a way to keep the life line here for the next two or more years. Furup I know you mention that you cannot donate at the moment and I want to Thank you for being honest with that. I just hope that some other members will see their way clear to help us out a little further as we must clear our loans to these VERY dedicated staff members. A dollar a week would mean so much to us here in clearing our debts at the moment and allow us to get to thinking about the new years ahead. So few members would have to do that to get us above water again here. White Fox Staff Member here.
