Guest
There was a seller on eBay who owned a pet chinchilla. He/she is from the UK. The auction was for chinchilla furballs coughed up by his/her pet chinchilla. Postage to a country outside of the UK was more than $700. This was lifetime postage (one chinchilla furball sent each month). The seller said that if a bidder won the auction, he/she could receive enough furballs to make a fur coat! Chinchilla fur fiber CAN be spun, but it MUST BE CLEAN, not coughed up from a chinchilla's respiratory tract. It also must be in roving form. A lady in Oregon is spinning four ounces of a chinchilla fiber blend for me. The blend consists of 75% chinchilla fiber, 20% Angora, and 5% mohair. imax-7
As Mr. Spock would say (eyebrow raised), "fascinating". Let us know how that blend turns out, you have piqued my curiosity.
White Fox
People will indeed try to sell anything. And the worst part is that sometimes someone will be dumb enough to buy it! W
