james93
Would love to see Emma Stone wear a coat like this one in the movie. It won't happen, of course, but it's a "Cruella fur" if there ever was one. I absolutely love a fur where you can see the little paws and tails. I like it when the woman really proudly shows she knows exactly how many poor widdle animals died so she could be oh so glamorous. What would you say defines a "Cruella fur" Heads, paws, and tails. Especially of lynx or raccoon!
gai
I'm excited for the new movie. I'm just afraid they'll go with faux fur to avoid backlash. Like how Cruella wears faux fur in the show Once Upon A Time. Even though ironically, other characters have worn real fur on that show.

If it were me, I would go 'round acquiring vintage (especially anything passing for "power") furs, then donate generously to animal shelters. That way you can safely say that your hands are mostly clean, save the amount of money you put into invigorating the secondhand market. Truth be told I don't like the way Cruella looks in OUAT. The fake furs are glaringly obvious and distract from her character (superficial as that assessment is). I hope Disney works out a very carefully engineered solution. I agree, I was excited for her initial appearance, but then very disappointed with the show's execution of the character. Outside of cruella, I'm not a usual once upon a time viewer. If the furs are fake, the movie budget will hopefully mean much better fakes if they don't do the right thing and go genuine. I'm not sure if the other 101 dalmatians movie used fake fur. According to the American Humane Society which oversaw the film's animal actor's safety, "the furs kept in Cruella's secret room were, in fact, real fur." (http://www.humanehollywood.org/index.php/movie-archive/item/102-dalmatians) This new cruella movie is very much in the vein of maleficent, and that movie featured fur. Honestly, I'm not the best judge of real or fake. Below are some photos from 101 dalmatians, OUAT, and Maleficent. Can you tell if they're real furs or not. I tried to include a lot of different costume shots for reference. http://imgur.com/a/4bkF4
Guest
Also, a new photoshopped poster i made. This one has a lot of different elements, with emma, the coat, the mansion, the sky, the trees, the puppies, the adult dalmatians, the blood stains, and the trees all coming from different sources. Hope you like it! if the image is cut off so you can only see the top half of emma, click the word "imgur" in the upper left corner http://imgur.com/a/vfkui

hawk_560
Are there any news about the Cruella DeVille Movie with Emma Stone? I wonder if she can keep up with the real Cruellas .
LeComte
You better have a cup of tea: Disney has finally confirmed a release date for Cruella: it will arrive just in time for Christmas on 22nd December 2017. Source: http://lifestyle.one/grazia/celebrity/news/emma-stone-cruella-de-vil/ But hey, they found a director https://deadline.com/2016/12/alex-timbers-directing-cruella-movie-emma-stone-disney-1201870552/ We got two persons for the movie. Do we need anybody else? I don't trust these sources too much. Hope they are right anyhow.
hawk_560
What interests me the most is will they use real furs or again fake ones. It would be a shame to see a good looking woman like Emma Stone in the role of the lovely Cruella DeVille wearing ugly fake furs. They should definitely invest in some rare animals that go into Cruellas beautiful garments. But we are speaking of Miss DeVille. So I think they need complete fur farms.
Guest
Love this. How she looks right at the fox-- he must be terrified! https://www.behance.net/gallery/19791559/Cruella-De-Vil
LeComte
How she looks right at the fox-- he must be terrified!Well, I guess he has nothing to fear any more as he already found his destiny. His brothers and sisters should rather be terrified. Especially if you consider that the model on the webpage seems to have only him at the moment. I hope she has tasted blood, I want more pics from her.

maktak
The figure you guys are discussing above is a little "fluid" for me - it flows and it looks smooth, but I go for broke in terms of chunkiness. This figure (only came out last year!) seems like a great fit for that: https://www.disneystore.com/figurines-keepsakes-collectibles-cruella-de-vil-figure-by-jim-shore-101-dalmatians/mp/1422635/1000276/ That's the essence of a double-sided collar! red_fox
Althought I prefer the plain coat of the other figurine (and her shoulders appearing), yours has a nice touch on her dress depicting the "pup pickup" and, mostly, her lovely grin ♥

The big hood and tails of this figure impressed me so much, and it shows the "fur" more clearly. Btw, I like both figures, good find and thank you !! Love for fur
Has anyone seen a good real fox fur like these figurines? I think it's sad that there are so few superfluffy fur coats. If somebody has some pictures I would be glad to have

If somebody has some pictures I would be glad to have Funnily enough, we discussed this at length earlier in the thread. A really special one off Rakuten: http://www.thefurden.com/tfd/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16166&start=70#p102056 The classic silver fox from Elsafur: http://www.thefurden.com/tfd/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16166&start=60#p101856 2 more that are somewhat more recent, but no less dramatic: One from furs-outlet: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-GOLD-ROYAL-FOX-FUR-COAT-CLASS-CHINCHILLA-SABLE-MINK-SILVER-LONG-JACKET-VEST-/382129920357?hash=item58f8b7d965:g:wxUAAOSwZKBZLb74 Another from furs-outlet: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-GOLD-ROYAL-FOX-FUR-COAT-HOOD-CLASS-CHINCHILLA-SABLE-MINK-SILVER-LONG-JACKET-/371988787442?hash=item569c4270f2:g:e~cAAOSwTf9ZOvo- In general, if you can find someone collecting such pictures on Pinterest or Tumblr, they end up being an endless gold mine of the same
Love for fur
The one from Rakuten I think comes close to cruella. I was more aiming towards cruella remakes. Googleing Cruella costumes seems popular, but I have yet to see any fur that resembles the cartoon one to any decent extent.
lynxette
I own the figurine and have it on my computer desk. Always wondered why she would want dalmation instead of the gorgeous fox coat she was wearing. Oh well.

Oh well. I always wondered that myself! Maybe it is because people enjoyed furs back in the day? If I recall even the sweet lady says a new fur would be nice so If it was called "101 Foxes" many people would preFUR a different ending!!!!
