elbas3175 Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Hi folks, As part of a special deal when I bought an indoor rowing machine, I have received a free return flight to the US. I have the choice of visiting New York, Boston, Washington or Atlanta, between November and April next winter. Where would you recommend for fur sightings, furriers, and cold weather? I suspect NY may be the best for both sightings and furriers, but I have been there before, so this seems like an ideal opportunity to try out somewhere else. Any opinions?
lanafurs1 Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 NYC OFF NYC - Time Square on Wed. or around 30th-34th between 7th and 8th ave - fur district
Guest Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Las vegas is a big dissapointment. I go to the CES in Jan every year and I've seen a total of three furs!! Of course I don't spend my time at the gambling tables. OFF
sableman Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 I am not sure about the other cities, not having been there in the fall season. I would recommend NYC also, though. I live in Atlanta. Definitely do not come here for "fur watching"! It is not good! Sableman

Guest Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Earendil; I "gamble" enough money on Furs and Audio as it is. I don't need a third black hole. At least I can snuggle up with the furs whie listening to real nice tunes. OFF
White Fox Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 In the little time that I spent in Washington one year I found that it was a "Mink" city and not a "Fur" city. Lots of mink at about the time secretaries were getting off work. Little to nothing of anything else. W
Guest Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 WF; I haverelatives in Fairfax and I spend what always seems winter in DC. True about DC. OFF
Worker 11811 Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I used to live in Boston. 7 Years. It's a great city but, for fur, I would look elsewhere... It's VERY liberal and full of those "Save the Unborn Baby Whales!" types.
