Guest Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 tHIS REALLY ANNOYS ME. iF YOU JOIN A YAHOO GROUP AND PRESS THE NO EMAIL OPTION, AND IT CLEARLY STATES YOUR ANONIMITY IS PROTECTED, IT IS A LIE. YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS CLEARLY DISPLAYED ON THE MEMBERS BOARD OF NEARLY EVERY SITE.
silverfox57de Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 "NO EMAIL" does only mean that messages to the group are NOT forwarded to you If you join a new group ONLY the mod can see your FULL adress, at the member list your adress should be cut after the first sign behind the @ (never experienced something vice versa) At that moment you write your first message to the group your adress is shown in full length! All that is clearly stated in Groups Help At least in the GERMAN Help there is a disclaimer NEVER to join Groups with an adress you want to keep confidential
