elbas3175
There was a TV show in the UK in the late 1980s/early 1990s starring Rik Mayall called The New Statesman. Mayall plays the lead character, Alan B'stard, an incredibly un-PC, very right wing politician and his scheming ways. They have written an updated version of the show as a play, and it is currently touring the UK. B'stard's wife, played by Marsha Fitzalan, is a high society type of lady, and she wears a fur coat when she first appears on stage. It is a full length blue fox fur coat. It's a very funny show, and the fur coat is an added bonus! Check out a website such as thisistheatre.com for tour dates.
Mr Barguzin
May one presume that Rik Mayall himself is appearing as B'stard?? Took a while to get into it, but it was like "The Young Ones"
elbas3175
Rik Mayall does indeed appear as B'stard again. It just wouldn't be the same without him, would it? Looking a bit older and a touch more portly, but plays the character with just as much gusto as before.

MrMockle
Touch, I don't suppose you remember which episode (or series) features Marsha Fitzalan in the black mink. I remember the series two episode "Fatal Extraction" about oil which features a black actress in a lovely red fox hat and coat and the series three episode "A Profit of Boom" where Alan goes to Moscow which features Joanna Kanska in a coyote hat and coat and Marsha Fitzalan in a fur hat at the end (maybe blue fox). Regards, Mr Mockle
