Smothered_In_Furs
Which fur do you think smells the best? Wolf fur has this earthly smell to it that I kinda like.

grouchomg
Never actually thought of smelling fur, actually. Is it fun?
AKcoyote
The odor of any new or clean fur depends mainly on the tanning method used. One method you do NOT want to encounter is the use of urine as some natives of the far north do.
Smothered_In_Furs
That would ruin a fur right?
Panther10
That would ruin a fur right? Actually no. The second most common chemical compound found in Urine (Ammonia) is actually used as a regenerative and cleansing ingredient in most household detergents. It is found in Chlorine, Bleach, baking soda and other household products that fight dirt and odors. So if anything, a pelt tanned with ammonia would act as a boundary layer against dirt, skin oils and body odor. Using urine as supposed to over the counter ammonia is just a more cost effective, and (some would argue) primitive technique.
