AKcoyote
Editing a post is accomplished by displaying the post then clicking on the small button that looks like a pencil. We do not allow members to delete their own posts, so in the case of an inadvertent duplication or other reasonable reason you would need to either message an admin/mod or just edit the post and delete the content. Fox
I've often wondered about this. Why aren't members allowed to delete their own posts? It seems it would create less hassle for mods/admin.
AKcoyote
Fox, The main reason is that if there are replies that address the content of the post one wants to delete it can lead to a very disjointed discussion that can be quite confusing. Also there have been cases where one deleted their posts out of spite again leading to a confusing topic/thread.
