Are fox tails supposed to be a bit rough and less soft compared to the other body parts of a Fox?

Bit curious since my silverfox boa's ends are fox tails and the fur feels a bit rough throughout the scarf.

Your issue has more to do with the type of fox, and possibly the quality of the pelts used, rather than what part of the fox pelt.

Silver fox is generally coarser guard hair than some of the other fox types such as blue fox.

I also brushed the fur, and it feels a bit softer and fluffier.

 

Totally forgot that a type of fox's fur is different than the rest.

Yes, the fox tails and the bottom of the fox is allways harder than the other part! In a fox fur pelt every part is different!
