bigfur1 Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Ran across this the other day, has anyone heard of this mink before? Sound like she knows what she's talking about.
Guest Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I'm very familiar with EMBA, apparently it was one of their variations.
minkme Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Its night have been worth that much but it can use some cleaning and refreshing.
furs limited Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 "Samink" was a short lived promotion of mink that was of such a high quality as to rival sable. I'm not sure what happened to this. Kojah seems to be the same idea. Minks do come in so many textures and qualities, to say nothing of colors.
MAINLYMINK Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Samink was (is?) only carried by one NYC furrier and he wouldn't let me come and visit, years ago, when I called to enquire: he thought I was an industrial spy! True story.
sethsable Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 If I remember correctly... Kojah is a type of fur produced when sables are bred to mink. Richard Burton bought a kojah coat for Elizabeth Taylor in the 60's. I think it was the first and possibly the last kojah coat made.
sethsable Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 lol...just watched the video posted. Thats the magazine article I read all those years ago
bigfur1 Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Wow. It was new too me. I wonder how the mink were cross breed?
