Tu_che_le_vanità Posted January 23, 2020 Share Posted January 23, 2020 The caption is not correct. Leontyne Price is a soprano, not a mezzo-soprano, and Robert Merrill was a baritone, not a tenor. Price is still alive. Merrill is deceased. These photos were taken at the construction site of the new Metropolitan Opera House in New York City in the mid 1960s.
