elbas3175
Has anyone heard about problems at the fur auctions? Like auction houses shutting down, with farmers over-producing while demand drops.
LustForFur
NAFA, the largest auction house in Canada filed for bankruptcy this year. Trapper's are scrambling to find buyers, fortunately some businesses are stepping in and buying skins. Another factor that's contributing is of course covid-19. Since almost all trade has stopped prices for skins have dropped dramatically. One of the latest factors is the fact that Canada Goose is no longer using virgin fur. They're going to use recycled fur. This is a cost-cutting measure, however I don't see why it is necessary, considering the prices of skins is dropping. These three factors alone are having a major impact on the trapping industry.
