was at Newark antique fair today,

loads of women wearing fur coats as usual, and plenty of fur for sale.

i can recommend outdoor antique fairs highly for fur spotters!

Absolutely!  I was fifteen or so when I bought my first fur rug which I still have to this day: a 100+ year old black tailed deer skin rug.  Except that mine was from a secondhand furniture store (not an antique fair) and was used on the floor where visitors in their shoes walk on right up until I bought it.

That sounds great. I'm not sure from reading your post but are you talking about Newark in Nottinghamshire England or Newark in New Jersey USA? Thanks 🙂

oh dear yes.  Newark Nottinghamshire.

the winter fairs are best for fur spotting..  the fair is held on an old ww2 aerodrome. gets very cold and windy as it's in flat open country.

if i ran the show I'd let anyone in free if they were wearing fur.

Super. Thanks for confirming. I thought that might be the case as when I googled Newark antique fair that's what came up!

I cannot believe I missed this - I live 20 minutes from the Newark show ground! I didn’t realise furs were sold there. Will definitely visit next time. Thanks fo the post.
