Overlooked Ways to Use Fur Rugs

Other than being used as simple floor rugs, here are 2 overlooked ways to use fur rugs that I have seen with sheepskin rugs, alpaca rugs, and deerskins:

1. If you have a furniture store or trade show booth, use a thick and soft fur rug to cover a tabletop (sheepskins and deer skins are best for this) if someone working there needs to stand on it to reach high above, he/she can do so without having to remove shoes and risk slipping and falling in their socks while at the same time, keep the table from getting dirty or scratched.  Alpaca rugs rugs are fine for this purpose if the employee is wearing flats or soft soled shoes (such as Ugg boots or sneakers), but if high heels are worn, it's better to use a thicker fur rug with a soft back like a sheepskin.  Avoid using cowhide rugs as they have tough backs that can scratch the table top.

2. I have also seen one furniture store place double pelt sheepskin rugs on the foot end of mattresses (another store used deerskin and alpaca rugs), so that visitors can lie down and try the beds without having to take their shoes off.  This looks better than the ugly plastic covers that some stores use and not to mention, looks more inviting too.
