Fur Alterations

Has anyone really gone in for fur alterations? That coat I bought the hood was horribly done with button and fabric loops, half of them were already ripped. I am going to the local place in Cincinnati https://www.instagram.com/kastoriafursinc/

To have it cleaned and looked at, I have no idea what the price of alterations to put like a zipper on the hood would be or not.

Ive been thinking of doing that for this very small and old blue fox jacket i have. Most of the fur on the frony and back is old but the collar and sleeves still have its fluff and is very thick and soft. I want to add fur trim to my mint blue Pea coat i have and use the fur from the jacket to add a large fluffy blue fox collar to it as well as the cuffs and the bottom trim. Kind of a penny lane coat.

Lmk how that goes. I want to alter my coyote and have been looking for someone to do it. Preferably state side
